The Watcher Manifesto
Few words to explain what we do, who we are, what we believe. This is our Manifesto.
Revolution! What does it mean?
Culture, revolution, cultural revolution.
Revolution: a great change in conditions, ways of working, beliefs, etc. that affects large numbers of people. OED.
Culture: the customs and beliefs, art, way of life and social organization of a particular country or group. OED.
Definitions, definitions. We live by definitions, entrapped in class-classification, society loves definitions and classification. But..
We are entrapped in a system which doesn’t work anymore. Culture is dying slowly. We have to change, we have the right to change!
We are dying slowly.
Androids, in a society built up following artificial rules. Have you ever asked yourself if you are really thinking about things or someone is thinking instead of you?
Begin to think again. It is the first step to actually build a culture. Think. Critical analysis.
Learn again how to read, think, write. Listen.
We learn, find out new things every day. The right books are available, they are there, on the shelf, stretch your hand, pick ‘em up, leaf through, feel ‘em and learn. Do not believe in words written to satisfy a fashion market, unable to touch and teach you.
No to misunderstandings. No to exploitation. Stop maxims-ism!
What we are scared of? Everyday, why do we bow our head and adapt to society, why do we not stand up and look at the world in its wholeness, madness and brightness.
Stop to digital illiterates.
Debate. Ask questions. Talk to people, do not be afraid of asking questions, even to yourselves.
Listen to the Nature’s voice. Green revolution. If Mother Earth put us on this planet, why do we want to destroy our mother? Green revolution not technological revolution.
Everyday we are assailed by decay and rubbish and no one cares about that. The moment to change has come. Stuck on a 32’’ display, smartphone, Facebook, Instagram (we are all photographers, right?), Twitter, Bullshits..
And then we are not able to talk anymore, sitting on a table, we are not looking at the face of the person in front of us. Share, share! Of course, sharing.. is good, sharing is the basis of human relationships. Human relationships, indeed, not technological relationships. C’mon, turn off your smartphone.
Start to think again, pick up a book.
A book that can be called a book. Not a triviality fair. Stop with all that E.L. James, Sophie Kinsella, & co.
They contribute to the murder of culture. Of course, you will say, you cannot stop me to read what I want. I do not prevent, I suggest. I suggest something that allows you to escape from mental despair. The whole art is now considered a funny thing.
But art, in all its aspects, is what makes us feel, it touches us, it represents us, art is us, art is humanity. It is nothing but it is the nothing that make us imagine a better world, it is what makes us humans.
And while I write these words I fall again in banality.
What have we become?
Mental switch.
Fuck the economy! Fuck disco!
Search and research. Liberal education.

Art changed the world. Not money.
There’s a devastation running on. Yes, the world, of course, but the main cause is the devastation of culture. We are lost in this world. In mental decay, not only environmental decay. Maybe you already know these things, for sure you know.
You look around and the world is not working. No job, no money, crisis. Yes, of course.
But have you ever asked yourself if you know the reason? The true reason? Standardized, all of us, show off, continually, save the fashion. There’s no evolution. We are not cultivated anymore.
Writing a list of the bad things in the world will waste my entire life. Anyway, you already know that list, it is the same old story. Maybe worst.
But we have to start acting, for real.
1. Start thinking again
2. Start reading again. For real.
3. There’s only one world. Save it.
4. Education, museums, art. free. For all.
5. Do your best.
6. Listen.
7. Less money for the 1% more for the 99%. And more happiness for the 100%.
